THE AB...

...still hasn't arrived...
even though I'd now absolutely be ready for the bike...
after spending a week on Mallorca tuning my shape, I'm somehow confident to achieve the goals of the 08 season (whatever they are)
so far there will be a half marathon for preparation in spring followed by a Triathlon middle distance (season highlight) on end of May then there'll be an OD in mid June...
so far...
....swearing like a trooper doesn't help me getting that piece faster
...BUT...
...swearing does make me feel better

BIG SMILE FOR THAT ONE :-D

by the way Trek with zipps:

smells like bike trispirit....

the bar is comming, i can feel it, well no - a mail this morning told me....
i can't believe it, finally i'll be holding it in my arms, this tiny helpless beautiful piece of carbon!
finally britney will be completed!
a cyclists best friend!
while britney is still waiting i decided to change the zipps a bit, making them even hotter
-i'm somehow surprised about my own creativity...-
also laminating some covercaps for the "73degreeseatholderlockpoint" which will be painted black later on, the bike is now one piece of finest art...

Wanna piece of me...

...sleeping dreming fishing
still waiting for that damn aerobar to arrive...
this sucks!
i was waiting for 2 month to get my stupid Profile design cx 1.5 replaced, then they said it will take some more time, i said, ok then offer me something you'll get quicker, they offered me this piece of porn in white and i couldn reject the offer, so i said yeah...
that was on 17th OF DECEMBER 07!!!!!
i am again waiting 2 month!
you might think, chill down dude you ain't gonna use it thill march
But damn i want to finish the project
that's all...
next update when anything (JUST ANYTHING) concerning that happens...

keep on rolling

the boring act of waiting

As for some reason only god knows my aerbar will arrive at earliest in 2-3 weeks (1-2weeks to the dealer and 1 week to me)
As my Dealer sits in Vienna and myself is rocking the streets of Tyrol (on the other end of the country) you can imagine that it's not always easy (well guess it wasn't very clever to buy the bike in vienna...)

On the one hand i won't be able to use it anyway cause I'm doing the bike specific sessions on the MTB or the Daum 8008...
BUT ON THE OTHER HAND...
DAMN! i want to have it as quick as possible...

After all there's at least a positiv aspect: i'm concentrating more on training than on bike stuff now...

As i do have more time now, a dude and me decided to get up a mountain watching the sunrise...
getting up on 4
starting at 5
arriving at 7 (aprox. 1200Hm later)...
a great experience...
Snowshoehiking with BoB (Board on Back)

sunrise avenue...

This is the end!

NO

boredom is the creativity's birth

the F14 Tomcat style Profile Aerodrink...
I'm now looking for some cruise missiles for the aerobar XD

Cervelo P2 (so far edition) with Bell Meteor II

Star Trek or Star Wars???

Well at first it wqas more war than anything else, the bottom brake was that rusty that both screw rings were one unit, that means, when you screw on the right the left will also move.
i mounted the tool on a workbench so it wont move, then i put on the frame and used it as a arm...
as said the downside as well as the upper side move!
i paniked, the first thougth was that the screw thread was fucked up!
but then everything was so easy, while turning the frame around, both sides unscrewed themself...

Trek 5200
Shimano Ultegra 2/10
(except rear brake which is cannondale)
Campa Zonda wheels
stem by cannondale

At least a happy ending!

Part II cool shoeshine

First one is the Gel Kayano by Asics, very nice shoe for cold weather (but not for wet one), has a good stabilisation against overpronation, weigths something like 400g
I use it for long runs starting 16 upwards

next one is the nike free 7.zero
a light shoe (290g) with no damping, but much space to move, as known from the other Nike Free models.
Good shoe for doing faster runns because you are very near to the ground, good feeling i can tell, seem like you just have socks on, flexible as hell :)
In use on faster exercises, even 20k

Here come the Puma Heras, lightest shoe in the collection (280g)
it is very close to it's retirement...
good shoe for fast things...
including even a better feeling than the Frees.
did my fastest 10ks with these about a year n a half ago.
nice shoes!
It was mainly a race shoe, pace training only fast stuff, today it's more or less a show for everything(like when it's dirty n wet outside and i don't want to soil the other shoes...
(all purpose shoe)

The ultimate Tri Power shoe!
a flame on grave the Diadora Mythos fly
and that's exactly what they are doing!
they're Flying....
290g, thin sole, everything to get in quickly
-> awesome shoes!
designated 4 race

Fly fly fly...

Good old "STAR Trek"

Today's Topic, the Trek 5200 frame.
Size 56 with a weight of 1550 grams including the bottom bracket (old shimano square one, should be removed by today, i treated it with a form release agent)
This frame is now about 9-10 000km old, of course it has some "injuries", but all in the paint. About 3 to 4 harder crashes including a meeting with a car (my right shifter against it's backlight, guess it won, at least i went down for a short brake onto the pavement...

here we got a front and rear view, altogether it's a very klassic kept frame with no extras, clean round tubes just as much as there has to be.
A very nice bike as i think, but a little old (and heavy) as it was build around 2000...

I bought it in autum 2004 raced 3 duathlons, 1 triathlon, 2 ettaps of the hervis tour Austria by now...
now there's as said the problem with the bottom bracket an the crank, i want to replace it with the newer Shimano Ultegra 6600 hollowtech II crank (shown below)...

Heavy tool...
